OUR REPERTOIRE, OUR RELATIONS

The pieces of music sung by the choir span church and secular songs from the beginnings of choral literature to the present day. We like spirituals, madrigals, 20th century contemporary Hungarian and foreign pieces of music as well. When compiling the program of the concerts, we adapt to the occasion and the conditions of the venue. Or to the choirs we occasionally perform with.

Our concerts take place in various venues in Budapest and in the countryside. In the hall of the Central Building of the Technical University, the Academy of Music, the Palace of Arts, the National Gallery, the National Institute of Oncology, churches, community centres, nursing homes and children’s institutions, museums. But we also sang on Gellert Hill, in the Matthias Church and at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

We are in contact with several foreign choirs. We had joint concerts with the Vilnius University of Technology Choir, Denison University Chamber Choir in Ohio, Tallinn University Women’s Choir, Columbia College Jane Froman Singers Choir in Missouri, Polish and Swedish choirs, Hessen Water Police Choir. Several of us were able to sing with the World Festival Choir at their performance in Budapest at the Palace of Arts (2007). Our oldest relationship with the choir of the Karlsruhe University of Technology (KIT Konzertchor) has been around for 25 years. We had several joint oratorio concerts with them in Budapest, Karlsruhe and several European cities.

Our enterprising adventure-seeking members also took part in the European Campus Cantat movement.

We traveled with occasional smaller choirs to Beijing, Indonesia and Taiwan for choir meetings.

Currently, the most intensive collaboration connects us to the choir and orchestra of the Technical University of Gliwice. We tend to give mainly oratorical works with them and, at the same time, smaller church concerts (2016, 2018).

Depending on our material and organizational capacity, we organize concerts on World Voice Day, joining the World Movement of Science and Art movement.
